# #10287 Move SOA item search and attachment extraction to GPT-5.5 deployments

> Sales Order Agent AI operations move to GPT-5.5 chat deployments for attachment extraction, item search expansion, and item selection while leaving other SOA AI calls on GPT-4.1.

[Pull request](https://github.com/microsoft/BCApps/pull/10287) · merged into `main` (BC30) on 2026-08-17 by qasimikram · 3 files (+3 -3), 3 AL · other · tier official · reviewed (checked by Opus)

## What changed

- Attachment extraction, broader item search and item selection now use GPT-5.5 chat deployments
- Relevance checks, mail template validation and signature handling stay on GPT-4.1 latest
- Attachment extraction can still send file parts because GPT-5.5 chat preview is already on the multimodal allow-list
- Prompts, schemas, temperature, max tokens and JSON mode are unchanged; only the deployment is swapped
- Behaviour changes for users or extensions.
