# #10717 Enable amount formatting with currency symbols

## What changed

- Currency Symbol Position enum gains a Default value and its existing values are re-IDed
- Amount formatting emits currency text through AL <S,...> format tokens instead of plain text
- Foreign currencies set to Default use the General Ledger Setup position
- Upgrade code keeps stored General Ledger Setup and Currency values meaningful in W1 and affected country layers
- Amount format tests split into session-isolated codeunits covering symbols, codes, positions and never-show
- Breaking: existing extensions can stop compiling or working.
