## Fields on this page

Layout controls in source order, grouped by the container they sit in. Shows: the table field a control is bound to (or its expression as written); ToolTip: the control's own, else the bound field's (marked).

| Group | Control | Shows | ToolTip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Control1 | Dimension Code | [Dimension Code](../table/352.md#fields) | Specifies the code for the default dimension. <small>from the table field</small> |
| | Dimension Value Code | [Dimension Value Code](../table/352.md#fields) | Specifies the dimension value code to suggest as the default dimension. <small>from the table field</small> |
| | Value Posting | [Value Posting](../table/352.md#fields) | Specifies how default dimensions and their values must be used. <small>from the table field</small> |
| | AllowedValuesFilter | [Allowed Values Filter](../table/352.md#fields) | Specifies the dimension values that can be used for the selected account. <small>from the table field</small> |

## Events published

- `OnBeforeSetCommonDefaultCopyFields(var DefaultDimension: Record "Default Dimension"; FromDefaultDimension: Record "Default Dimension")` (integration): Integration event raised before copying field values during common default dimension setup. Enables customization of field assignment logic for multi-record dimension operations.
- `OnBeforeSetMultiRecord(var MasterRecord: Variant)` (integration): Integration event raised before processing multi-record dimension setup. Enables customization of master record validation and preprocessing logic.
- `OnGetDefaultDimOnBeforeModify(var DefaultDimension: Record "Default Dimension"; var TempDefaultDimension2: Record "Default Dimension" temporary)` (integration): Integration event raised before modifying default dimension record during common dimension processing. Enables custom field validation and modification logic for multi-record operations.
- `OnSetCommonDefaultDimOnBeforeNextTempDefaultDim3(var DefaultDimension: Record "Default Dimension"; var TempDefaultDimension3: Record "Default Dimension" temporary)` (integration): Integration event raised before processing next record during common default dimension setup. Enables custom processing logic for each master data record in multi-record operations.

## Procedures

- `ClearTempDefaultDim()`: Clears all entries from the temporary default dimension table. Resets the multi-record dimension configuration state for new selection.
- `CopyDefaultDimToDefaultDim(TableID: Integer; No: Code[20])`: Copies default dimensions from a specified master data record to the temporary dimension collection. Enables dimension inheritance and bulk processing for multi-record dimension operations.
- `SetMultiRecord(MasterRecord: Variant; NoField: Integer)`: Sets up multi-record dimension processing for a collection of master data records. Enables bulk default dimension operations across multiple records of the same table type.
- `SetMultiEmployee(var Employee: Record Employee)`: Sets up multi-record dimension processing specifically for employee records. Deprecated method maintained for backwards compatibility - use SetMultiRecord instead.

Plus 16 local procedures.

## Ask your agent

Procedure bodies are not stored here (D10). For a procedure body or the calls of one procedure, ask bc-code-atlas (external, by Stefan Maron, MIT; default corpus w1-28), which the bc-observatory plugin connects: `bcatlas_resolve_node(object_type: "page", object_name: "Default Dimensions-Multiple")`, then `bcatlas_get_procedure_body` or `bcatlas_get_neighbors` on the returned id.
