Partners can now update existing sandbox environments to preview versions of Dynamics 365 Business Central, starting with version 27 in September 2025, to test new features with their own data and installed extensions. However, preview sandbox environments cannot be updated to other versions and are automatically deleted one month after the preview period ends.
