Overview

This section collects the Czech-specific additions to inventory in Business Central. The pages cover posting and validation rules (time sequence check on output, rounding account, posting groups in transfer orders, Inventory - G/L reconciliation with rounding and WIP accounts), setup templates (inventory movement templates, stock keeping unit templates), SKU-related settings (Gen. Prod. Posting Group from SKU, Skip Update SKU on Posting), and documents and reports for Czech legal layouts (inventory operations documents, inventory counting documents).

There are no subtopics. Pick the page that matches the task. For physical inventory, read the advanced physical inventory features, the movement templates and the counting documents pages together. For posting accounts, read the rounding account, G/L reconciliation and transfer order posting group pages.

A good starting point is the page on additional fields on item ledger entries and value entries. Then move to the page for the process you are configuring.

Key points

  • Item ledger entries and value entries carry additional fields in the Czech version.
  • A time sequence check on inventory output stops items from being delivered with a posting date earlier than the receipt posting date.
  • Advanced physical inventory separates the accounting of deficits and surpluses using warehouse net change templates, and supports line-break posting for inventory journal lines.
  • Inventory movement templates define custom transaction types and G/L posting accounts that are copied automatically to item journal lines.
  • The rounding account feature posts rounded costs to a separate G/L account instead of the inventory adjustment account.
  • Transfer orders can use Gen. Bus. Post. Groups for Ship and Receive postings, set on the Transfer Route, to use a different Inventory Adjmt. Account.
  • Stock keeping unit templates by item category and location copy replenishment and reordering parameters to new SKU cards.
  • Skip Update SKU on Posting turns off the automatic update of Last Direct Cost on Stockkeeping Unit Cards.
