## Overview

This section describes the Power BI Subscription Billing app, which tracks the performance of a subscription business. It includes reports on monthly recurring revenue (MRR), churn, total contract value (TCV), billing and cost forecasts, and customer and vendor deferrals.

Start with the setup page. The app depends on subscription contract analysis entries, which give monthly snapshots of active and planned subscriptions, and these feed KPIs such as MRR and TCV. The setup also covers monthly job queue scheduling. Then read the app page for the report list, and use the semantic model and KPI pages as references for the data structure and measure definitions.

The report pages fall into groups. Overview and year-over-year reports give a high-level view. Revenue Analysis, Revenue Development, and the Revenue by Customer, Item, and Salesperson reports break down MRR. Churn Analysis covers lost recurring revenue.
