## Overview

Marketplace validation is the set of checks a Business Central app goes through before it is published on the Microsoft marketplace. It has a technical side and a marketing side, plus guidance on promoting the app.

The Technical validation checklist lists the mandatory requirements for extensions and explains how validation is done, including self-validation with BcContainerHelper and AppSourceCop analysis. The Marketplace technical validation FAQ (10 pages) answers detailed questions on app identity, code-signing, names, affixes and ID ranges, Application Insights, app previews, offer types, the validation process and support channels. The Marketing validation FAQ covers listing content and branding rules.
