## Overview

The session explains the context of continuous transaction control and e-invoicing, then compares two-corner, three-corner and four-corner communication models. It presents the E-Document Core app as a shared foundation, with interfaces for creating and importing documents, endpoint integration, background jobs, field mapping, error handling, logging and retention policies. Local flavors and partner extensions are built on top.

A demo shows E-Document Service, Workflow and Document Sending Profile setup, sending a sales invoice with status tracking and logs, and receiving documents through a background job into purchase invoices. It also shows error handling for item references and an import to journal lines.
