Overview
This area covers how Business Central works with the Microsoft 365 apps people already use. An introductory page gives the overall picture: Excel export and import, OneDrive document storage, Outlook email and contact management, Teams sharing, and Word document templates.
Each app has its own subtopic. Excel covers viewing and editing data in Excel, the Excel add-in setup for on-premises, importing data from Excel or configuration packages, and Excel report layouts. OneDrive covers opening, sharing and saving files, plus admin setup for online and on-premises. Outlook covers deploying the add-in, saving contacts to Outlook and Teams, and email setup without Outlook. Teams covers installing the app, searching contacts, sharing records as cards, adding tabs, company settings, and administrator tasks such as licensing and deployment. Word covers report layouts, the XML Mapping pane, and Word templates for bulk communications.
Start with the introductory page to find the right app, then open that app’s subtopic. Administrators should look at the setup and deployment pages in the Excel, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams subtopics.
