Overview

This section is a series of one-page-per-update release notes for earlier major versions of Business Central. Pages are named by update number (for example 17.3 or 24.5) and grouped by release wave, from 2019 release wave 2 (15.x) up to 2025 release wave 2 (27.x). Each page lists hotfixes, feature changes, localization updates and, in some cases, deprecation or upcoming mandatory feature notices.

Start by finding the update number for your environment’s version, then open that page. Use the neighboring updates in the same wave to follow a feature as it rolls out. For example, report bookmarking appears in 15.3 and 15.4, and Intrastat country of origin appears in 24.2, 24.4 and 24.5. Two pages cover the wave starting points: 26.0 for 2025 release wave 1 and 27.0 preview for 2025 release wave 2.

Themes change over time. Early pages stress telemetry, cloud migration and authentication changes. Later pages cover localization (Intrastat, SAF-T, VAT, e-invoicing), Copilot and agents, and e-documents.
