Overview

Warehouse management groups the pages on handling inventory in a warehouse. The overview page “Manage warehouse activities” explains the configuration options, document types, bin types and workflows for receipt, picking, shipping and internal movements. It is the best place to start.

Three subtopics follow the flow of goods: inbound (receiving, put-away, cross-docking), outbound (picking and shipping for sales orders, transfer orders, purchase returns and service orders) and internal (production, assembly and job components, moving items, counting and adjusting inventory). Each one distinguishes basic from advanced warehouse configurations, so check which setup you use before choosing a page, journal or document.

The reports and analytics page covers statistics on current and past inventory and warehouse activity, and printing of barcodes and QR codes.
