Overview

The video shows how Business Central can post journals and documents in the background so users do not wait while posting runs. This is most useful for journals and documents with many lines. Setup options are available on the general ledger setup, sales and receivables setup, and purchases and payables setup pages.

The demo opens purchases and payables setup, enables post with job queue and post and print with job queue, and then posts a purchase order. The system reports that the order is scheduled for posting in the background. The posted and printed document then shows up in the report inbox on the role center, where it can be opened in OneDrive if cloud files are enabled.
