Overview

This section documents the standard reports that ship with Business Central finance. Most pages describe a single report: what it displays, the main request-page options such as date ranges, dimension filters and currency choices, and the tasks it supports, such as reconciliation, audit, period close or tax filing. Both classic reports and Excel reports are included, and some topics exist in both forms, for example Trial Balance and Aged Accounts Payables.

The reports fall into groups. Core ledger reports include Trial Balance and its variants, Detail Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, G/L Register and Audit Trail. Receivables and payables reports cover aging, customer and vendor balances, statements, order reports and top 10 lists. VAT reports cover registers, reconciliation, settlement and VIES declarations. The other groups are consolidation, deferral summaries and cost accounting.

Start with “Built-in finance reports in Business Central”. It gives the overview and the report explorer, and it groups reports by area. The analytics pages for accounts payable and accounts receivable point to Power BI and Data Analysis as alternatives. Then open the page for the report you need.
