Overview

This section covers the receivables cycle. Payments can be applied in several ways: the Payment Reconciliation Journal for bank statements and feeds, Payment Registration for unpaid sales documents, or the Cash Receipt Journal and customer ledger entries for manual application. A subtopic covers automatic payment application, matching rules, Text-to-Account mapping and bank reconciliation.

Other pages cover collection and risk: statements, reminders, finance charge memos, Copilot for Finance in Outlook, late payment prediction, and blocking customers. Further pages cover payment tolerances, SEPA Direct Debit, netting balances for a company that is both customer and vendor, analytics, sales tax, and Intrastat reporting.

Start with “Overview of tasks to manage receivables” to choose the right payment method. Then go to the page for that task, such as the reconciliation subtopic for bank-based matching or “Collect outstanding balances” for overdue amounts.
