Overview

Fixed assets analytics brings together the ways to examine fixed asset data in Business Central. The overview page lists the options: KPIs, financial reports, consolidation, data analysis, Excel exports and built-in reports, across acquisitions, depreciation, insurance and maintenance.

The hub’s own pages cover the overview and ad-hoc analysis. Ad-hoc analysis uses the Data Analysis feature on FA ledger entries and GL entries, so you can check asset values or depreciation interactively without running a report. Three subtopics go deeper. Built-in tools cover disposing, insuring, maintaining, budgeting and reclassifying assets. Fixed assets reports covers the standard and Excel reports. Legacy reports describes three older reports marked for removal.

Start with the Fixed assets analytics overview to pick an approach. Use ad-hoc analysis for quick questions, and the reports subtopic when you need a standard, repeatable output. Check the legacy page only if you still rely on those older reports.
