Overview

This section is the entry point for configuring Business Central. Its own pages cover general settings that apply across the whole system: company information, number series, base calendars, report selection, online maps, and auditing of setup changes. Two pages explain how to get Business Central on a Windows or macOS desktop app and on a mobile device.

The subtopics then go area by area: finance, banking, sales, purchase, inventory, project management, fixed assets, warehouse, manufacturing, quality management and service management. Others cover email, printers, approval workflows, data import, and best practices for costing and supply planning.

Start with “Overview of tasks to set up Business Central” to see the order of setup tasks. Then use the general pages for company-wide settings, and go to the subtopic for the area you are configuring.
